great product
I purchased this product on behalf of my sister. She had wanted to replace her bulky monitor for some time and choose this one on a recommendation from a friend who read great things about it, and she has not been disappointed. It is good value for the money, has great colour rendition, the screen is bright clear and a good size. Set up and use of the product is easy. The only downside was that it doesn't have speakers built in, but this didn't deter her from giving it 5 stars. As always Amazons delivery time was excellent.

Go for the DVI version with Crystalbrite.
I bought this and also bought the DVI / crystalbrite version and had both plugged into the same card side by side, one on DVI and one on VGA using a stretched desktop across both monitors. When moving items across the two monitors, there is little difference in text quality. I personally prefer the matte casing, as opposed to the glossy black on the DVI version. However, the DVI version with crystalbrite has so much more vibrancy and richer blacks. The buttons are a little fiddly just as the other models like this and the stand isn't adjustable (same as the others).
So the image quality is good and the matte black is nice. But consider that the DVI version also comes with VGA you have a little future proofing. In Short you just can't beat the crystalbrite versions with a good DVI cable. (Acer 193 WAD)W-idescreen A-nalogue D-igital
A word about 19" widescreens in general. I "Upgraded" from a standard 17". I expected to get a bigger monitor - I didn't. Although this is 2" bigger it is widescreen so in actual fact it is about 1/2 inch shorter in height than my old 17". Yes it's wider, obviously. But pixel for pixel, it isn't any bigger. What you gain in width you actually loose in height. SO if you are planning on upgrading from a 17" you may be very disappointed with the size. In order to get the height of your old 17" but gain the widescreen format, you will have to go to a 22" (which is what I eventually did). Just Google monitor sizes and you will see diagrams explaining this.
All the Acer monitors are good, but VGA is getting old now and the signal has to be converted by the monitor. DVI offers a straight digital to digital path, reducing any need for analogue conversion or interference. My personal recommendation if you can get one is the Acer v223wbd. 22 inch (as explained), DVI and VGA, matte black and better buttons. I have tested all the above and this 22" is the one I've stuck with. Price wise there isn't much in it. Hope this all helps.

Very Good Monitor
I'm very pleased with this monitor....easy to install, good clear screen, good colour, decent price, I ordered it on the Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday, I think that takes a bit of beating...Amazon never let me down

Timely delivery and good condition
The product was delivered well within the promised delivery time and was in good condition, with sufficient packaging to prevent any damage during handling. I would buy from this vendor again.

Excellent Value Screen
I am really pleased with this screen, it is compact and good looking. It is easy to set up and offers good colour and definition. It gives very comfortable viewing (really easy on the eyes). Overall I am really impressed and certainly would consider Acer screens again.
