| Customer Reviews: Stunning looking TV - decent performance with some minor flaws November 14, 2007 Salim Mitha (London) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
The TV is large, which is great. The factory settings are not the best for viewing, especially the feature entitled "MoviePlus" which creates this hazy connectivity of movement that makes you feel nauseous - it cause an unnatural feel to the pictures. All of the colour settings as well need changing. I think the picture quality is good, but the Freeview on the TV did not work, and the instructions for usage are OK. For one thing, the TV came set for "in-store mode" which causes all the changes to settings (colour, etc) to reset after 5 mins. For the first few days it was very frustrating, but eventually I selected the "in home" mode after digging through many layers of menus. Also of note, as this is a Plasma, you have to be careful about 'screen burn' - the manufacturer warranty does not cover any screen burn, so make sure you do not leave still images or unchanging - this is really an issue if you pay music DVDs through your DVD player via your TV - the on screen menu from DVD music playing is a still image.
The picture quality is great, but I think i would have either gone for a 60' plasma, or a similar size LCD screen given the risk of screen burn, and also the fact that plasmas burn hotter.
Good piece of kit, but not perfect
